If you've been looking for a sensory-friendly place for your child's haircut, I can't recommend Little Bloom Studio enough!
My son arrived nervous, staying quiet and reluctant to engage, but our stylist, Lanni, was incredibly warm and friendly, and gave my son the time to get comfortable at his own pace. Her experience working with children with sensory needs and her calm, personable approach made a haircut into a moment of growth and my once anxious child is eager to return!
Lanni gave my son time to walk around, play, and become familiar with the environment. He spent time in the yoga studio, where Little Bloom also offers yoga sessions, and explored different toys in the sensory garden and play area. She let him choose where to sit and was able to apply the skill and patience to cut his curls while he sat and played with sensory toys on the carpet.
Not only did she do a fantastic job reviving his crazy curls, but she ensured that he would look forward to returning to Little Bloom with more confidence and comfort. He left smiling and happy, and spent the rest of the day telling everyone all about his haircut with the "very nice haircut lady". If bringing your child for a haircut is daunting, I highly recommend paying a visit to the very nice haircut lady at Little Bloom Studio!
