Stay cool and keep those kids entertained!

By Macaroni KID Concord July 14, 2025

The days that are way too hot to be outside for too long are here! Let's face it, staying in the house with kids all day long is not always sustainable. They got bored, it gets loud, and it gets messy - fast!

Shaving cream - yes shaving cream! Put some on your table and it creates endless fun! Drive their cars in it and then they have to wash them. Practice writing letters/numbers in it.

Moon sand - 8 cups of flour, 1 cup vegetable oil (or baby oil): it feels similar to kinetic sand!

Playdough - 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt, 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 cup water

Slime - 8-ounce Elmer's white liquid glue,1 tablespoon baking soda, 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons saline solution (this amount always varies)

6. Watch a Movie

Grab some popcorn, turn off the lights and watch a movie!

Some of our favorites: Sing, Moana, Moana 2, Lion King, Toy Story!
